Hope Is a Good Breakfast is a memoir about a young mother's experiences while facing a shocking breast cancer diagnosis (triple positive invasive ductal carcinoma and ductal carcinoma in situ), as well as subsequent treatment and recovery including bilateral mastectomy, chemotherapy, and Herceptin.

Hope Is a Good Breakfast offers an honest, humble, and even humorous account of a journey of self-doubt and self-discovery. It is not simply a book about cancer but rather a story about strength and struggles, fears and failures, life and love. Most of all, it's a story about the power of hope.
